Join Catholics from around the world who gathered on Saturday April 4 to live-stream First Saturday Marian Devotions, praying together for deliverance from COVID-19. It includes an Act of Contrition for the sins of the world and the sins within our beloved Church, the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, the Divine Litany, and other prayers. Terry Modica shared her personal testimony of how the Blessed Mother came into her life (Terry was raised a Protestant) and later started Good News Ministries. You will learn the adaptation of the Hail Mary prayer that the Holy Spirit gave her for obtaining victory over evil, which is found in our Virtual Marian Shrine at gnm.org/prayers/marian-shrine.
A shorter version of this was created as an audio podcast. It contains Terry’s presentation (edited) and just the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Go to footstepstoheaven.com. The transcript of Terry’s testimony and the prayers used for the Rosary can be downloaded from there.
Here’s the The Daniel Prayer in the Act of Contrition that’s used in these Marian Devotions.
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell. But most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned: the whole world, including Your Holy Church, has sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets.
Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, turn away Your anger and Your wrath from my country and from the whole world and from your holy Church.
Give ear, our God, and hear. We do not make requests of You because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For Your sake, my God, do not delay, because Your Church and your people bear your Name.”
Amen.
Please share this video and its Marian Devotions widely with your friends and keep the prayers going!
