Terry Modica and Bill Snyder discuss the transition of leadership and the future of Good News Ministries.
30+ Years of Blessings from Good News Ministries
Terry Modica:
We wanted to create this video for all of you because it marks an important milestone for Good News Ministries. I almost called it a turning point, but it’s really not that—nothing is turning. We’re simply continuing forward, marking a new chapter in our journey.
Back in 1995, when my husband Ralph and I founded Good News Ministries, we had no idea we’d end up with multiple websites, ministering to people all around the world, and a staff to keep it all running. In the beginning, it was just me. In 1996, I coded our first website using the simplest HTML in Notepad. I continued to learn and improve, not only by writing daily reflections and faith-building articles, but also by enjoying the creative challenge of designing our websites.
Eventually, as technology evolved, we needed more help. We hired a young web developer named Jeremy, who managed our server for several years. When he left, I stepped in and handled it all myself—on top of my administrative duties, writing, graphics, and adapting the websites for the shift from desktop to mobile devices.
Now, I’m pleased to announce that the Lord has provided a new solution. We have a new web developer who will take over the technical side of things, along with Bill, who will handle the administrative and website-related responsibilities. It now takes two people to do what I had been doing alone!
The Lord has also provided the funds to bring them on board, though we’re currently running a fundraiser to ensure we can keep both positions. Along with them, we still have our faithful team:
-
Graciela, our assistant administrator and Spanish-language coordinator.
-
Lily, our social media manager.
-
Kathy, who joined us in 2011 and faithfully connects with our donors, sending out prayers, poems, and thank-yous.
Now, in 2025, I turned 70 in February. The Lord has been telling me for a while that it’s time to “retire”—not into a rocking chair and knitting, but into a new season of ministry. I’ll remain president of the board and available to the staff, but my main focus will now be on writing books, producing podcasts, and creating courses.
Stay tuned—there’s much more to come!
