Faith, Career Changes, and God’s Will
Is AI endangering the stability of your job? What happens when artificial intelligence makes your skills seem obsolete? Is God protecting the future of your work?
In this timely conversation, Terry Modica welcomes Jeff Cassman, founder of Catholic Men of America and author of Find a Better Job Now (Stop Applying Blind. Prove Your Value. Get Hired in the AI Economy.).
Together they discuss navigating today’s changing workplace with faith, wisdom, and practical action.
Jeff shares:
- why traditional job-search strategies aren’t working as they once did,
- how to present yourself as someone who solves problems and brings value to an employer,
- and why networking and learning to use AI are becoming essential career skills.
But this conversation goes beyond finding a job. Jeff also shares how he discerned God’s call to establish Catholic Men of America, which now connects tens of thousands of Catholic men nationwide. Together, Terry and Jeff explore how to recognize opportunities to serve, respond to challenges with prayer and action, and trust God when life doesn’t unfold as expected.
Whether you’re looking for a new job, concerned about AI changing your profession, considering a career transition, or trying to discover God’s direction for your working life, this episode offers practical guidance and spiritual encouragement.

Excerpt:
Jeff Cassman: And again, it’s changing from, “I’m an employee, I’ve done all these great things, look at my resume.” That’s the old way. It worked in the 70s and 80s and 90s.
The new way — in order to be successful, in order to get past the AI filters, to get past all of the normal gatekeepers in this process — is to reposition yourself as someone who solves problems and someone who adds value to the organization.
So you need to demonstrate quickly in your resume, on your LinkedIn page, in your communications, that you are a problem solver, that you add value.”
